More than 50 boats will fight for the 44 Conde de Godó Trophy
The 44 Conde de Godó Trophy, one of the oldest trophies in the sailing calendar in Spain, will take place in Barcelona from June 1st to the 4th, organized by Real Club Náutico de Barcelona. Between 50 and 60 teams in the ORC and the J80 classes will compete in this prestigious competition, with which the racing season starts in Spain.
Among the first entries in the ORC class, there are leading teams as the First 50 from Portugal owned by Rui Ramada, Fifty by Storax, a powerful racing boat, or the new unit of the Adrian Hoteles Macronesia, a Sydney 43 prepared with affection by the Tenerife team led by Daniel Adrian.
In the list of monotypes, Bribón-Movistar will not miss the great regatta. Marc de Antonio and his crew will try to improve the fifth place achieved in the last edition.
Prior to the celebration of the Godó Trophy, Marc de Antonio and the rest of J80 teams will have the opportunity to test boats, equipment and crew in the same racing course of the great event, with reason of the Catalan Championship of J80, to be held the weekend before.
The Royal Yacht Club of Barcelona is preparing with kindly attention what is one of the two great international nautical events in Barcelona, next to the Puig Vela Clàssica Barcelona, which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year from 12 to 15 July.
