The Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, organizer of the 47th Trofeo de vela CaixaBank Conde de Godó, has decided:

That in anticipation of the extension of the state of alarm decreed by the Spanish Government due to the pandemic of COVID 19, defer the organization of the 47th Trofeo de vela CaixaBank Conde de Godó, scheduled to take place from 28 to 31 May 2020.

The new dates for the celebration of the Trophy will be from 16 to 19 July 2020, provided the situation so permits.

We are convinced that in improving the evolution of the current situation, and standardized the nautical sports activity, following the instructions of the RFEV and the FCV, the level of excellence that characterizes this Trophy will be guaranteed, thus taking up the normality that we all want.

Starring sponsors

The village of the 45th Conde de Godó Trophy opens this afternoon. It is undoubtedly one of the protagonists of this regatta organized by the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona since 1974. The space is a meeting point for the crews before and after racing. Here they talk about the day, plan the strategy, read the daily press (La Vanguardia and Mundo Deportivo, of course) and delight with the tastings of the brands that sponsor this great sporting event: Gramona, Estrella Damm, Nº3, Royal Bliss, VIP Style Magazine and Veri.

Opening day on the water

First day on the water for the 45th Conde de Godó Trophy. The first starts are scheduled for 14.30h, for the 51 boats and 500 sailors who have gathered in what is one of the most important regattas in the Mediterranean.

Victories in the 45th Conde de Godó Trophy will be expensive

Up to 51 boats and some 500 sailors from eight countries meet at the Real Club Nautico de Barcelona (RCNB) for the 45th Conde de Godó Trophy, with racing from Friday to Sunday. Rats on Fire, L'Immens, Fanytas and Bribón-Movistar will defend title in each of the four categories, but victories this year are sold expensive, as a result of the modifications that the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation has done in the cruising regatta rules.
