The 45th edition of the Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy will be held in the waters of Barcelona from May 24 to 27, but a few days later, on June 7, the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona will give the start to the 45th Anniversary Special Godó Trophy, a new regatta that will join the Catalan capital with Saint-Tropez, in the attractive Côte Azur.

This offshore race, with an approximate distance of 230 nautical miles (426 kilometers), will serve to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the emblematic Spanish regatta, one of the most prestigious in the national sailing calendar.

Organized by the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona with the collaboration of the Catalan Sailing Federation, the Italian Yacht Club and the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, the 45th Anniversary Special Godó Trophy is open to Cruises of the ORC / ORC Club and IRC classes.

This regatta is prior to the 66th Rolex Giraglia, which takes place in Saint-Tropez from June 10 to 12, so it is designed for Spanish boats that want to participate in the regatta organized by the Italian Yacht Club. So they can sail together in a fleet, within the framework of a competition. Thus, boats registered in the 45th Anniversary Special Godó Trophy will have mooring in St. Tropez or Cogolin (provided they register for the Rolex Giraglia 2018 before March 31).

Three trophies will be awarded: one for the combined classification of the 45th Conde de Godó Sailing Trophy and the Barcelona-St. Tropez, another for the winners of the offshore regatta in ORC / ORC Club and IRC, and the third to the absolute winner in real time.
